Summer 2 Week 2 Messages and Updates

What a great start we've had to the summer term

This week, the children have come back really settled and got straight back into their work.

The children have completed their multiplication check this week - we are very proud of them and we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been helping them learn their table facts this year.

We also visited the National Coal Mining Museum on Wednesday which was a huge success and something the children thoroughly enjoyed.

Next week, we have another incredibly exciting event as we complete our 9th annual STEM project - 'Mission to Mars'. The children will work in their house groups (Celts, Normans, Romans or Saxons) to research, design, make and evaluate either a rocket, parachute, rocket car or shelter.

Following this project, the children will start their D+T project - designing a healthy sandwich where they will look at the sandwiches already on the market before a bread tasting session.
