Precise Preparation

As we continue our new Design and Technology unit, the children have been learning a variety of ways to prepare vegetables for their soup.
The children learnt how to use the bridge and claw method for precisely chopping vegetables. They learnt how to use a peeler to remove any unwanted skin from the vegetables, as well as a grater to experiment with different textures and consistencies.
The children also learnt about the importance of hygiene and safety when preparing food.
These are all necessary skills the children will apply to their project and take with them into their future lives.
