Following weeks of training at the after school hockey club, Cian, Jake, JJ, Harry, Jack, Urban, Kailan, Declan and Max made up the team who represented Rosehill at the U11s hockey tournament.

The boys had a great day supported by the amazing duo of Mrs Gyte and Miss Stansfield, scoring their first ever goal and then winning their first game. They were a credit to the school with both teachers commenting on the excellent behaviour of the boys.

On their return to school, the boys were asked to reflect on what they had enjoyed about the day:

Cian - I enjoyed playing and stopping goals from going in the net.

Declan - I liked when we won and I liked taking part in general.

Jake - I enjoyed taking part. Especially when we won a game because I haven’t played or practised much before. 

Kailan - I liked how everyone supported each other. It was nice when different schools were supporting each other. 

Max - I liked when we won a game. I liked playing in three of the games. 

JJ - I enjoyed taking part. I really liked playing in attack. 

Jack - I liked that if we didn’t win a round, we all supported each other and worked together to make the next game better. 

Urban - I enjoyed Declan and Harry scoring so we won one of the games. 

Harry - My favourite bit was when we got out first goal.
