Prospectus

Last year's School Prospectus can be found by following this link 'School Welcome Pack' or alternatively can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. Please note you may need to allow popups from our site to view direct from the link...

Of course, there is much you can learn about a school by browsing its website and social media profiles. We have included some videos from our YouTube Chanel and also our School Twitter Feeds below, so you can get a taste of what it's like to be part of Rosehill Junior School.

You will find a lot on this school website about the National Curriculum, English and Maths in particular however, there is a great big world out there for us to explore and not all learning can take place in the classroom! We believe in giving the children rich and memorable experiences across their time with us through a variety fo trips, visitors and first hang experience. Some of the activities and adventures we undertake are more about building character, resilience and making memories that will last a lifetime. Through these more diverse experiences and residential visits, we hope to expand horizons and deepen our children knowledge and understating of the world around them.

During their time with us at Rosehill, it is intended that all children will experience both coast and countryside, exploring the diverse ecology of nature and the grand geological features of our island. In addition to this, we aim to set the children challenges, climbing mountains and hills, walking coastal pathways and explore underground in caves. We also ask the children to take themselves out of their comfort zones and engage in outdoor adventurous activities such as climbing or abseiling.

Finally, we want our children to love life, grow emotionally and have fun while they do it! The power of laughter and friendships can not be underestimated! We want them to dream, to think big, to have aspirations and fully embrace life and all it has to offer with a twinkle in their eye... to be proud of who they are and become the best versions of themselves!

Why not enjoy watching some of the videos from our residential visits this year to Castelton and Heard Farm Adventure Activity Centre below. Further down the page you will find the School Twitter Feeds. You will also find lost of wider information if you explore the rest of this site and if you like what you see, why not arrange a visit as we sometimes have spaces available for in year transfers...
